Not to leave you all hanging...there's a lot to talk about here. The GR20 has been contrasted, compared, and described as the John Muir Trail of Europe. I would argue that the GR20 is more like Roper's Sierra High Route than anything. Easily the toughest backpacking I have done since my time in the army. The sites, smells, tastes, and people all make Corsica a place to explore, too, so make sure to plan plenty of extra time to roam around the island.
This is a quick link to get you started on the GR20.
Although the altitudes reached are low, the elevation gains are high. Some days can include 2,500' of gain in 3 miles.
The infamous white and red trail blazes of the GR20. Even when the trail doesn't look like a trail you can always find the blaze.
